Thomas Hahnel new Managing Director

On June first, 201thahnel1, Thomas Hahnel was appointed Managing Director of Lucy Turpin Communications. Thomas was previously Head of Technology and Board Director with Hill & Knowlton in Frankfurt, part of WPP, the world’s largest marketing communications group. He brings over 12 years agency experience with three agencies to LTC. Originally from Munich , he has provided successful communication programs with large international corporations, mid-sized companies and start-ups – international and based here in Germany . At LTC, he has operational responsibility for our High Tech, Clean Tech and Life Science PR & MarCom services and overall agency activities. As Managing Director, Thomas is responsible for the smooth operation of the agency including consulting with clients and LTC teams on strategic matters, leading client PR and MarCom program development and budget matters, client program accountability, human resources and financials.

 

In a new position as President, Lucy will be involved in daily operations for the transition period. As always, she will continue to be available for consulting with each client, now, during the transition period and thereafter. Medium and long term, her activities will revolve around assuring the quality of our agency services to our clients and overseeing other over-arching aspects of our organization in line with the agency’s strategic plans.

 

In September, Mathias Springer joined LTC as one of our new PR and MarCom Account Executives. He works with Team Manager Birgit Fuchs-Laine and has started off with a MarCom influencer project. Born and raised in Bavaria, he has gained communications experience at TV production companies, newspapers and a radio station, and has a good understanding of media as a result. He has a M.A. in Anglistics, modern history and psychology from the LMU in Munich.

Office Manager (male/female)

At the present time, we are looking for an Office Manager with the right combination of skills to help build our organization. The Office Manager/Receptionist is responsible for the smooth operation of the office infrastructure including maintaining supplies for the office, kitchen and other facilities, updating the new version of the LTC website through a content management system, bookkeeping and assisting the Managing Director and PR teams. Both English and German verbal and written skills are needed. A five day, full-position is preferred.

 

PR & MarCom Manager (male/female)

Lucy Turpin Communications is an established Munich-based High Tech, Clean Tech and Life Science PR & MarCom agency. We are looking for a dynamic PR & MarCom Manager. The position requires a broad understanding of the markets we serve and the ability to foster business relationships. Previous PR agency experience is a requirement. Candidates are also expected to possess strong writing, research, social media and other PR skills. Other MarCom experience would be an asset. At least three years related work experience is essential, as would a university degree and a can-do attitude.

 

PR and MarCom Account Executive (male/female)

At the present time, we are looking for a PR and MarCom Account Executive, with the right combination of skills to help build the organization. These are:

Very good English speaking ability
German writing skills
Social media skills
Computer experience (MS Office Professional, Internet, etc.)
Office work experience
A stable, mature personality with a positive attitude
